Description

Here at Strongman Outdoors, we have decided to take the higher road and not resort to cheap sales tactics and such that has been happening with other similar products. We give you the description of our products and the description only, and allow you to make the decision based on your needs!
Our motors are light and compact at only 20-22 inches total length and fit through
ALL
pedal drive holes that Hobie and several other kayak brands make,
regardless of the year or model!
This is a watersnake t24 SW (Saltwater rated) trolling motor that has been shortened and fitted with a Large Hobie cassette plug for the Mirage Drive hole for foot Pedal kayaks. It fits through the drive hole and the head unit sits above the floor of the kayak. This size is only for the 2015 and newer Outbacks, Oasis and 2015-2021 Pro Anglers that have the standard or 180 drives. This does not work on the 360 drive model kayaks. This motor has 24 lb of thrust and propels you through the water at up to 5 mph, depending on weight and kayak style! It also has an extendable handle.
This is a very lightweight trolling motor at
only 7 lbs
! The motor drops into the foot pedal hole easily
without any need for maneuvering the plug
to get it in.
The cassette plug will rock back and forth slightly when in use, but is very secure. These plugs are manufactured by Hobie and the hard plastic knobs on the newest cassette plugs which we use have never been broken off from underwater contact with the trolling motor, that I have ever been made aware of. The shaft is not fixed in place in the cassette plug. You have the ability to turn it to make very sharp turns in the water, but can also tighten down the clamp to make it not move while in use.
My motors have had epoxy placed on the top of the cassette plug and attaches the clamp collar to the cassette plug. This allows the motor to be clamped in place and does not move while you are running.
If a shorter shaft is desired, so that the head unit sits lower in the kayak, message me and I can build one that has a shorter overall shaft. 10.5 inches were taken off of the original size of the shaft.
Also, bear in mind that not all pedal drive holes are shaped the same. Some are fairly skinny, but my motors are small enough to where they can sit through without any modification to your kayak or motor itself.
The cassette plug does come up approx 1-2 inches higher than the bottom of the 2019 and 2020 Outbacks due to hull redesign.
This is only for shipping in the Continental US. Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii and other US Provinces incur extra delivery fees. Florida residents are charged sales tax as well.
