Vintage Clothing Lighted Sign for Burlington Overalls Jeans. This is a reverse glass painted sign with a wooden frame and tin back with light. The sign hangs from a chain on a wall or can be displayed as a counter top sign. The sign has a glass front painted on the inside with a paper backer and then a screen behind that to hold all in place. The paper backer has some flocking and a tear which only shows in the clear rectangular window. The window must have been to put additional information in either a special price or store name.
Burlington Overalls, from what I can find were made in the early 1900's and I have added a photo of an advertisement from the 1940's. This sign is likely from the 40's, Manufactured in Burlington, Wisconsin.
It operates from a cord switch and the sign is 22 3/8" wide x 14 3/8" high and 6 1/4" deep. Very good condition.
