    Description

    US Belgium Stamps covers, postmark but no postage! 1975. Shipped with USPS First Class.
    This envelope is from the Finance Ministry in Soigneis, Belgium, where the SHAPE Headquarters is located.
    It is addressed to my dad who was a LTC in the army at the time and was no longer stationed at SHAPE and was now stationed at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.  So it was forwarded from Belgium to Virginia.
    It probably had some thing to do with some tax issue.
    It was originally sent to his office at SHAPE but then forwarded to his new office in Virginia.
    It is interesting to see all the Belgian and American forwarding messages.
    It is also interesting that all this took place and
    there is no postage on the envelope!
    The Belgian postmark is March 29, 1975, and the US postmark from the Army Postal Service is dated April 1, 1975.
