LD2. Group of two 1938 and one 1960 Unused Original Mount Airy, North Carolina Calendars. The calendars are complete with NO Writing extraneous Marks. Location: LD1-1.1.
[The First National Bank, Established 1893, Mount Airy, North Carolina. Member of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.]. Multi-colors. Calendar size is 17 x 1O inches. Unused Complete 1938 Calendar. Print shows a granddaughter helping her grandmother roll a skein of yarn into a ball, while a cat watches their efforts. Signed in lower left corner “© Hy Hintermeister”, 3609. Print is affixed to back board at top. Unused separate calendar pages. NO manufacturer listed. No writing. Blue and silver pictorial border at top shows a Winter Snow Scene; border at bottom shows a Summer beach scene. Unused with calendar pages intact. Upper left corner bend. Slight corner bumps and light soiling. Mother and baby print and calendar are stapled to back board. Hanger hole at top. No marks or writing. Slightly rusty staples. FYI:
Henry Hintermeister (1897-1970) was a painter and illustrator who painted in the Golden Age of Illustration under the signature Hy Hintermeister. He painted as team with his father, John Henry Hintermeister, and together they created more than 1000 works ranging from historical events to whimsical fishing, hunting and everyday scenes for Magazine covers.

Advertising at top states: “Star Brand Shoes are Better – Solid Leather Throughout.” … Advertising at bottom shows two “Poll Parrot Shoes – For Boys and Girls”, iconic parrots and slogan. Unused with calendar pages intact. Upper left corner bend. Slight corner bumps and light soiling. Mother and baby print and calendar are stapled to back board. Hanger hole at top. No marks or writing. Slightly rusty staples. Upper left corner bend.

Unused complete 1960 calendar stapled to chipboard with the nice color print showing a pretty woman and her horse. No manufacturer listed. Hanger hole at top. No marks or writing. Slightly rusty stapes. Small indentation (hard to see) on the left end of the fence rail.
CONDITION: Each calendar is described in the Listing. Minor wear. Slightly rusty staples (90-year old calendars). Very Good to Fine condition.
