Side Saddle Canoe Trolling Motor Mount for Old Town with Vinyl Gunwales

For Old Town canoes with the typical thick black gunwales.   This is a great space-saver on your canoe.   For electric trolling motors.
Manufacturer says it will take gas motors up to 3 HP but we don't recommend it for that.
We have heard of it fitting a few other brands of canoes, so if you think it might fit yours, please verify using these measurements:  Gunwale width 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 inches and  thickness  1 to 1 1/2 inches.   The lip on the gunwale (the overhang, in other words) must be on the inside.  If your gunwale is any smaller that 1 1/2 wide or any thinner than 1-inch thick, it won't work unless you custom-make shims to build it out to at least those dimensions.
