Salesmans Sample Miniature Model Cue Rack Ebonized Antique Pool Billiard Table
Very detailed salesman's sample sized cue rack (3" x 11 3/8" x 22 5/16").
This is not a reproduction - it is an original that I made and modeled from a photo of a full sized antique cue rack and modified for a guy that had 6 gorgeous - original/ antique salesman sample cues 19 3/16" long and wanted a cue rack built to display them. All are made of solid Cherry with hanging holes on the back - no visible fasteners are needed to mount this. Choice of 3 finishes (Light, Dark or Tri-tone w/ ebonized and gold details. Exact same rack - 3 different looks. I only have 1 of each to sell and don't have time to make any more for a very long time right now - I may never make any more because they are so time consuming to make) Please specify your choice when making payment. 6 mock cues pictured are also included with each rack.
Everything is extra cute when it's small - puppies, kittens, baby's and yes - even cue racks. It can be hard to find room for the large items - but this doesn't take up much space and will make everyone that sees it smile. Sharp design and nice details. It has a little bit of everything - Burl veneer on the decorative accent pieces, turnings, carvings, brackets, lots of moldings (I even ground knives for them to look like the rack it was modeled after and be proportional) - one version is even ebonized and has gold details. A HUGE amount of time went into designing this and working out the details and getting everything right and then making them. I am a professional cabinetmaker w/ 30+ yrs exp. and a perfectionist - my passions are woodworking & antique billiard items (my ebay name is an acronym for my business. cwwr - Custom Woodworking & Restorations). Pictures rarely do anything justice and I assure you these are much more impressive in person.
I could easily imagine a Brunswick (or any of the other big billiard makers) salesman wearing a bowler and carrying a briefcase and a salesman's sample cue rack like this filled with miniature cues when he called on a customer to impress them with their products and secure an order - couldn't you? Mark Stellinga's book on billiard collectibles shows a rare - original salesman's sample billiard table and it's carrying case on p.200. So I know they made salesman's sample cues and tables - so it's a pretty safe bet they made sample cue racks too - but good luck finding an original. This is as close as you'll probably ever see - and it's truly gorgeous.
Note: Only 1 cue rack (your choice of 3 finishes) is being offered here for sale and 6 mock cues made of 1/4" Masonite with a Maple finish and black painted butts for display - nothing else. The original/ antique Brunswick Balke Collender briefcase along with the Brunswick catalogs and bowler hat are pictured just to show a grouping of items a billiard salesman would have. The soda cans are pictured just for scale to give you a good idea of size and proportion.

All items ship fully insured based on their sale price. I generally ship with the USPS - Priority or Parcel Post. Items that cannot ship by USPS generally ship UPS. Will usually ship within 1-3 business days of receiving cleared payment. (Depending on when the order is placed, how busy I am at the time and how much packaging is involved).
I go to great lengths to package my items very carefully to help insure against damage and have never had any damage with anything I've shipped.
