amazing decorative door hardware.
This door
is from the 19
20s
.
The door
itself
is
in poor
condition which is such a shame because it is absolutely amazing. The front and back of the door was so well-made but unfortunately due to
weathering in
time the veneer has begun to separate on the door jeopardizing its integrity. Due to this we are selling
only the
decorative hardware. This
hardware was custom-made for th
is door.
In
the 30
years of
salvage this is the first time we have ever seen this surface.
We’ve
seen decorative door bands throughout the years but nothing any Spanish whimsical
style such
as this. It features to center bands along with a top and bottom band. Usually you will only see two door bands possibly three.
They are usually
done in the traditional
gothic Spanish revival style
this
hardware also comes with a matching functioning
door handle
we have seen similar
handles
like this in the past but not of th
is
scale
this handle measures in
a
grande
13 inches and
comes
with the
matching decorative
deadbolt
plate .
The two
center bands
measure in
at an amazing 28 inches long by approximately 6 1/2 inches wide
with the top and bottom band
measuring
in
at 2
4 inches long by approximately 6 1/2 inches wide
.
Each band has been secured
with the square
head
bolt
all of which are still present
.
