This is an original packet from Manchester Shoe Company looking for salesman to sell their shoes. It includes a four page letter that describes their business and the advantages in selling their shoes. It is a colorful large 4-page letter (8 1/2 by 11inches)
with many promotional photos, etc. The right side of the letter has some fraying that does not affect the text. In addition to the letter, this packet includes an application to be filled out, a return envelope and the original envelope this information was sent in. While undated, this packet appears to be from the 1930s to 1940 period.
The envelop the information was mailed in is a Pennysaver envelope that notes a 1900 date (it is damaged as can see in the scans, also the first page of the application form has a faded area.) This is an interesting look at business dealings in the last century. See scans.
