This is a New Fisher Space Pen, Model #Q-4 Quad Action Space Pen.  This Quad action pen that writes with black ink, red ink, 0.7mm lead pencil, and nonconductive stylus point.  Barrel diameter on this pen is .395 and has a glossy gunmetal finish, with a black cushioned grip. The cap lifts off to expose a refillable eraser. The pen also comes in a gift box.  Simple and reliable mechanism, and is as beautiful as it is functional.  There are labels on the barrel for each point.... Roll the pen till the label for the point you wish to use is up and simply push the top button in and that is the point that will come out. To release the point you push the button on the side. Triple and Quad pens all take the "SU" Series refills and are all fine point. Not all sellers handle these refills, and because of the small size of these refills they do not hold as much ink and need to be replaced more often. They also do not cost as much as most refills. Refill Compatibility
The Multi-Function Pens, the TAG-S and the Q-4, Take the Universal or SU Series Refills Only. They WILL NOT take the standard Fisher SPR Series refills. The SU refills are pressurized and will write at any angle just like the SPR Series refills. However the SU series only come in three colors; Black, Blue and Red and all three are fine point only. Because of the limited space of putting three or four refills in one pen they have a smaller diameter, and are segmented so they can be broken off to different lengths to fit in smaller spaces than the standard refills. Therefore they do not hold as much ink and will need to be replaced more frequently. They are also a lot cheaper than the standard refills so it all averages out. Just be aware that you should keep some refills on hand. The refill diagram shown below is a SPR Series refill not the SU Series. But it shows the principle behind the pressurized refill.

About Fisher Space Pens:

Fisher Ink cartridges stay leak free and writing longer, cleaner, and more consistently than any other ink cartridges. Fishers are not only utilized by Astronauts but the Thunderbirds, the Blue Angels, the Navy Seals, and the Canadian Snowbirds also use the Fisher pen.
