    Description

    A collection of mainly 40's and 50's Christmas Seals and various other charities. First I have to mention that some of these are stuck to the stock sheet and some are stuck to each other, often a strip of stamps is stuck to the back of the same stamps back to back.
    Because of this some of these cannot be removed safely from the 2 stock sheets and I can't see the whole stamp. There are a few already stuck to parts of envelopes. I believe these were collected by my Grandmother and saved by my father.
    I see No evidence of exposure to water but clearly they were at some time exposed to a humid enough environment  for the adhesive to activate.
    Because of this am offering this lot at a low opening bid.
    There are Christmas Seals all in French from 1935, 1948 and some other French ones I cant remove from the stock sheet.
    American Christmas seals include 1931, 1944, 1947, 1942, 1953, 1946,1954, 1955 and others

    The 2 stock sheets are marked "The  Elbe Line Stock Sheet No. 131-5 Made in USA"
    If you count just the ones visible in front there are at least 130 or so but the number may almost double since so many have the same stamp back to back.
    Buyer pays cost of First Class Parcel.    International buyers inquire for pricing.   I pack carefully and use recycled materials when possible.
