Boston Hartford & Erie Railroad Company 1,000 Bond w/Attached Coupons Circa 1866

Here’s a nicely framed vintage railroad company bond with attached coupons. This ,000 certificate, No. 5638, was issued  by the Boston Hartford and Erie Railroad Company in 1866. You can see pictured 35 coupons attached to the bond which reflect a start date of January 1883 and running semi-annually through January 1900. However, I believe there may be additional rows of attached coupons which may have been folded under to reduce the bond’s presentation size which measures 17 ½“ x 21 ½”. Looking at the last three pictures I’ve provided you will see what appears to be the bottom corner and side margin of the folded portion of the coupon sheet. It certainly looks like to me that there are additional coupons, perhaps up to three rows folder under which can not be seen. However I don’t know for sure as I did not remove the bond for inspection from its gold colored wood frame. With the exception of some fold creases the bond and coupons are in good vintage condition without stains or tears. There is some paint wear in several areas on the gold colored frame as pictured.
