THUMBWHEEL AM PUSH BUTTON RADIO
I sell a lot of radios on ebay. I bench test them all and try to describe them to best of my abilities. I tell it like it is, don't leave out the bad on purpose. I find it amusing when I see radios listed as "untested". we all know that is french for "it don't work". this unit has been tested and here is what I found.
hooked up to 12v and temporary speaker and antenna and all I get is a faint hum when powered up (I actually got a signal once but never did get it again so to be honest it isn't operating) it has a positive on/off click but does not light up on powering up. the tuner wheel moves freely but I could not get it to move the dial. the connections are all there, the face is clear with crisp numbers and lettering. the chrome is good. cosmetically a very nice piece but again I did not get it to sustain a signal. I don't see a part # but by the "SOLID STATE BY PLYMOUTH" I would put it at 1968. check your application, it is your responsibility. if it doesn't look like what you need it won't change by the time it arrives.
I have to sell my electronic parts as is, there is no telling how folks hook things up.
